July 14, 2012 – 5th ANNUAL CAPAY TOMATO FESTIVAL – Farm Fresh To You and Capay Organic invite the public to the 5th Annual Capay Tomato, the farm’s festival that celebrates the great taste of organic heirloom and cherry tomatoes. The event will offer activities for all ages, including tomato tastings, farm tours, tractor tram rides, crafts and live music (3 bands) throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Farm fresh tacos and sandwiches, Pop Nation popsicles and local wine and beer will be sold. Attendees are invited to camp overnight in the farm orchards.

July 21, 2012 Smokin In The Oaks BBQ Festival– ?The 4th annual festival will be a fun full day of music, championship BBQ and plenty of brews to sample. There will be four bands performing on the main pavilion stage starting at 11:00am with the main act kicking off 6:00 pm. ? There is no admission for Smokin’ in the Oaks, however, there is a small parking fee benefiting a local service club. Tasting tickets for People’s Choice will be $10 for five tickets. If you like BBQ cooking, you will love this as it is a memorable feast. Admission is free with a canned food donation. The canned food is collected and given to the Food Bank of Nevada County.
